Click here to join our group! 2009-2010 President - Norine Oplt A message from the President To my dear fellow CRI members.  I was re-reading my last message to you and mentioning that Easter was on the way.  Can you believe that it’s already gone and the 4th of July is staring us in the face.   I’m sure you’re looking forward to all the changes that are coming our way, I know I am.  Your Executive Board and Committee Chairpersons have been working hard preparing for our Special Election and the up-coming Annual Meeting during September of this year. Alida Wagner and her group have put together a powerful agenda, backed up by excellent speakers.  I hope all of you will be able to attend.  All of our communication has been electronically which is still a bit of a mystery to me.  I remember face-to-face meetings.  Sometimes they were even dinner meetings.  Oh well.  I just have to keep reminding myself to only look forward, as the past is the past. I do have to admit that it does save time and keeps expenses down.   You should all have received your electronic ballot for the Special Election, so please submit your vote as soon as possible. You will soon be receiving your ballots for our annual election of officers.  My thanks to all those who have put their name up for nomination, and especially to Sarah Burton, Cindy Erangey and Melissa Griggs. Since my last note, we have met again in June, where we finalized most of the items for our Annual Meeting. To date we have had no suggestions for by-laws changes.   I suggest to those of you who have not been out to our wonderful web-site, that you do so.  Many hours and much hard work have gone into this site.  Mindy Young is to be given our great thanks.  Jamie Clark is also in line for those same thanks as she is the brains behind the Cri-Tique newsletter.  I honestly don’t know how either one of them do it, but they certainly do and do it well.  In closing, please join us at the Annual Meeting being held at the Holiday Inn Select in Naperville on September 23rd and 24th.  I wish all of you a happy Summer.    ______________________________________________ The SEER hematopoietic database with coding manual has been updated.
